You can buy all uvex products and any necessary replacement parts at the equestrian dealer. You can easily find the expert dealers near you using the uvex store locator. If you need a replacement part for your uvex product, your dealer will be happy to order it for you. If available, it will be delivered within a week.
Please note that uvex itself does not accept orders from or make direct deliveries to end customers.
All uvex products are manufactured according to the highest quality standards and are subject to strict, in-house inspections which often exceed any legal requirements. Should your product have defects in spite of these precautions, contact your appropriate sporting goods dealer with your warranty claims (legal warranty period as of 2009: 2 years) and repair requests.

A equestrian helmet must always be replaced after a fall or collision! The impact forces on your head during a fall are absorbed by the helmet. In another impact in the same location, the equestrian helmet can no longer fulfill its protective function 100%. Please note that – depending on the force and angle of impact – the helmet can even break, and should do so in order to keep the impact forces away from your head.
Please note that the following recommendations are a starting point and do not replace personal advice from a sporting goods store.
Fitting: Try on several helmets if possible. It is important that the dimensions of the helmet fit the size of your head and that the helmet noticeably encloses your head.
Correct positioning: Make sure that the helmet is positioned levelly on your head. The helmet should not sit too tightly on the back of your head, which leaves the forehead unprotected, nor be pulled too far down over the forehead, where it can affect your vision.
Firm fit: You can test if your helmet sits firmly by shaking your head lightly with the chinstrap open. The position of the helmet should not change. An optimum fit is required for the helmet to fulfill its safety function 100%.
Adjustment: With the adjustable sizing system, you can fully customize the size of your helmet. To do so, place the helmet in the proper position and turn the wheel – clockwise to make the helmet tighter, counterclockwise to make it looser. The chinstrap should fit tightly, but should not hinder your breathing or swallowing. The chinstrap should always be closed while riding.
The starting point for selecting the right size is measuring the circumference of your head, a finger width above the eyebrows. In many stores, dealers will have head-measuring tapes available. The head size range is given in cm on the sticker on the back of the helmet.

The interior of the riding helmet is removable and machine washable. The helmet should be cleaned with lukewarm water and a mild soap solution. Do not use solvents, such as paint thinner.
All components of a helmet are subject to ageing, depending on handling, maintenance, and degree of wear, which depends on the intensity of use and the specific conditions of use.
Under optimum storage conditions (cool, dry, protected from daylight; no contact with chemicals; no mechanical crushing, pressure, or stress) and without use, the maximum lifetime is 8 years following the indicated date of production. This should not be exceeded in use, even if the product is in a visually good condition.
For reasons of safety, we recommend our helmets are replaced 3-5 years after initial use, depending on the intensity of use.
You can find the date of manufacture either as a calendar clock or as a sticker on the inside of the helmet. The year of manufacture is at the centre of the calendar clock. The arrow points to the month of manufacture.
uvex does not offer custom helmet painting. Please note that, when painting, applying stickers, or varnishing, the paints, adhesives, or varnishes may contain components which negatively affect the stability of the helmet and thus its protective effect. If changes like this have been made, we would have to exercise our exemption from liability.
We appreciate your interest in our innovative products. Unfortunately, our products are repeatedly offered in so-called fake shops. Fake shops are online shops that sell products but do not ship them after payment. In part, these shops even use original product photos and descriptions. As a rule, customers have to pay in advance by bank transfer.
To spare you bad experiences, we would like to give you some tips and indications that help you recognize fake shops. What you should look for:
- existing and complete imprint (with register details and authorized representative)
- existing terms and conditions (not a bad machine translation)
- secure payment options (not just pre-bank transfer)
- existing cancellation policy
- plausible prices (especially low prices may be an indication of fake shops)
