Hybrid technology for improved safety and comfort
uvex launches new variations of the uvex elexxion
SPOGA HORSE February 2020 – uvex news
The uvex elexxion represents a new generation of riding helmets. This made-in-Germany hybrid combines two leading technologies and sets new standards in terms of design, ventilation and weight. Following its successful launch, uvex is now bringing variations of the uvex elexxion onto the market in spring 2020.
In 2019, uvex took the inmould and hardshell technologies and combined them in one helmet, creating the uvex elexxion. The fusion of these two technologies has created a new creative scope for all of the important helmet parameters. The uvex elexxion is much lighter than conventional hard-shell helmets. It has excellent ventilation and offers product designers more options than previously thought possible – a concept welcomed by equestrian riders. “The market launch of the uvex elexxion was successful and reactions to the helmet have been very positive. Customers are enthusiastic about its lightness and shape. The new design is also popular”, says Simon Sirries, Sales Director Equestrian Sports at uvex.
Wherever you ride: to fulfil the needs of as many riders as possible, the new hybrid helmet is being offered with various features in different price classes. In addition to the basic uvex elexxion model and the matt-glossy uvex elexxion pro, uvex is expanding its product palette in the spring of 2020 with another mid-priced variation. The double inmould technology gives the uvex elexxion plus uncompromising protection along with unmatched lightness and perfect ventilation. In the “plus” models, all components of the helmet are tone in tone. The uvex elexxion plus has a color-coordinated matt finish in navy, black or trendy anthracite. Its slim fit interior ensures an even better fit on the sides.
